➤ Question: Can you set the lighting level and save it so when yout turn it on its not bright?
Answer: No it has 3 touch settings for low med and high. Once it is shut off it goes back to low level. Great lamp.

➤ Question: Is it bright enough to read with, even when the rest of the room is dark?
Answer: I use my phone & read with backlit so really cannot say for sure. Possibly with correct positioning higher than a book it could be.
